School Clubs

This is a custom app called Icons - Horizontal which does not exist in Composer elements. Please work with your Client Enablement Consultant or join a Best Practice Workshop on how to add the content using Composer best practices.

    • Tennyson Middle School has many different clubs available for students to participate in before, after and during school.   Take a look at a few of them below:

    • The Library hosts three different book clubs, on Thursdays during all lunches. Book Club is a fun place to share your thoughts about the books you are reading, create book trailers and podcasts about books. All are welcome.  If you are interested in joining, please email Mrs. Cannon, leslie.cannon@wacoisd.org, so that she can get you a pass.

           

      TMS NJHS

      The TMS Chapter of the NJHS will begin meeting in October.  Meetings will be on Thursdays from 4:15-5:15 in room 210.  Membership is based on Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. Our chapter is very involved in community service. 

       

      GSA

      The Texan GSA Club meeting dates and times will be announced soon.  This club meets in room 411– the Choir room.  If you are interested, come to the next meeting! 

       

      The Science Quizbowl Team will start meeting in October.  We meet from 4:15-5:15 in the Library.  We compete in the US Department of Energy Science Quiz Bowl.  All are welcome.  For more information speak with Mrs. Prather and Ms. Muller.

    • The Table Top Gaming Club meets in the Choir room (411) every Wednesdays from 4:15-5:30p.  Learn and play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons! 

      Join us!  It will be lots of fun!

       

      Baylor Pipeline

      Pipeline Club meets in room 205 --dates and times are TBA.  

      We are looking for more students to join Baylor mentors & Have fun learning about Science and experiments. Please come join us!!

        

      The Spoken Word Poetry Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 320 from 4:15-5pm.  Spoken word refers to an oral poetic performance art that is based mainly on the poem as well as the performer's natural delivery qualities. It is poetry intended for performance. Spoken word can contain elements of rap, hip-hop, storytelling, theater, and jazz, rock, blues, and folk music. Spoken Word Poetry is a writing tool that will help students breed confidence and discover their self-identities through the act of performing.  Join Us!

       

      The Kindness Club is a school club that spreads kindness and positive energy throughout our school, and stops hate and negativity from spreading. The Kindness Club meets on Thursdays from 4:15 - 5 p.m, in Room 312.  The Kindness Club will be led by Mrs. Pasisis and Glory I. We gather together to generate ideas and ways to stop hate from spreading at our school. If you like spreading kindness and positivity, and STOPPING hate and negativity come join us next Thursday, September 7th, in Mrs.Pasisis’ classroom for the first meeting. 

    • The Library hosts the STEM-Makers Club every Tuesday from 4:15-5:15p. We will be learning how to use and program micro:bits, code with Tynker, CAD with TinkerCAD, 3-D print, explore cardboard engineering, Make Buttons and Bracelets, and so much more!  Join us it will be fun!

       

      Peace Be Still

      Peace Be Still Bible Study meets on Wednesday mornings from 8am-8:25 in the Library.  Join us!

       

       

       

      The TMS Speech and Debate Club will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15p.  Starting in October.
