Choir

The Tennyson Middle School Choirs are led by Mr. Jacob Garcia and assisted by Melanie Spark. Mr. Garcia is starting his 6th year of teaching and has been the choir director of Tennyson Middle School since the beginning of his teaching career. Mr. Garcia holds a Bachelors of Music from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters of Music from Texas Tech University. Under his direction the Tennyson choir program has earned superior ratings at UIL, had members accepted into the All-Region Choir, had students accepted into the TCDA Elementary and Middle School Honor Choirs, and has been invited to perform throughout the Waco community. He is a strong believer in the power that music holds and aims to use it to educate, inspire, and uplift the young artists in his choirs. His primary goal is to facilitate a collaborative experience between the director, singers, and community to serve the needs of all who are involved in the musical process.
