The Tennyson Texans wrapped up the 2024-2025 basketball season with a sweep in Mexia, winning all four games.

It was a night to remember as the 2024-2025 basketball season came to an end. The Tennyson Texans went to Mexia and won all four games last night.
The 8th grade B-Team finished the season on a high note as Rashard Easley drained a game winning 3-pointer to bring the team’s final team record to 5-1. The offensive players of the game were JaMarqus Vincent and Rashard Easley. The defensive players of the game were Brayden Lofton and Marcus Casey. True Grit Hustle recognition goes to Kyler Almanza and Vincent Fields Jr.
Our 8th grade A-Team capped off the night with a 47-41 victory over Mexia with Robert Drakes leading the team with 17 points and Marlon Jones with 16 points. The defensive players of the game were JaKori Cotton, Russell Borderud and Hayden Stoglin. True Grit Hustle recognition goes to William Tucker, Jhazden Weatherspoon Milton and Traemarion Hayes. The A-Team finishes the season with a record of 7-3 overall.
Tennyson’s 7th A-Team and B-Team both walked away with victories to complete the sweep. The 7th grade B-Team offensive players of the game were Drew English, Marcus Carter, Strider Reynolds and TJ Gordon. The defensive players of the game were Patrick Jones and Levi Stone. True Grit Hustle recognition goes to Andray Serrano and Benjamin Pitts.
Lastly, the 7th grade A-Team came away with the win. The offensive players of the game were Trent Baker Jr., Romelo Drakes and Christopher Richards. The defensive players of the game were Jonthoan Bible and Carson Carrie. True Grit Hustle recognition goes to Donovan Stewart, Zarecious Dukes and Jazayvion Burton.
