Mr. Bradford McMillan

Mr. McMillan began his educational career as a Campus Attendance Officer at Copperas Cove High School.  In 2013, after several years in this position, he leaped into teaching as a Resource English Language Arts and Reading teacher at Ranicer Middle School in Killeen, TX.  He was then given an opportunity to teach at Killeen High School, the same high school he graduated from in 2001.  As an Inclusion teacher there, he co-taught a variety of courses, to include: Biology, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Algebra, English I and English II.  He spent four years at Killeen High before accepting his first assistant principal position at the Killeen ISD Career Center.  While providing educational leadership at that campus, he was again blessed with an opportunity to go back to Killeen HS where he remained until accepting the principal position at Tennyson Middle School.  

His educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. His educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family. All of which, Waco ISD possesses.

Mr. McMillan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2005 and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration (with an emphasis on Juvenile Justice) in 2008 from Texas A&M University - Central Texas (formerly Tarleton State University - Central Texas).  After several years of teaching, he pursued his Administrative Certification from Lamar University, which he obtained in 2017.  He also holds a Master's Degree in Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy from Liberty University and is currently in the Chaplain Candidate Program with the Texas Army National Guard.  He is married to the beautiful Margarita McMillan of Round Rock, TX.
