School Clubs
Tennyson Middle School has many different clubs available for students to participate in before school, during lunch, and after school. While we try to meet on our set dates, sometimes we have to cancel, please check the Tennyson Calendar on our Website weekly to be sure nothing has changed.
Take a look at a few of them below and join us!

The Library hosts three different book clubs, on Fridays during all lunches. Book Club is a fun place to share your thoughts about the books you are reading, create book trailers and podcasts about books. All are welcome. If you are interested in joining, stop by the Library, to pick up a pass.

If you want to spread kindness, hope, and joy throughout the school, join the kindness club. Members will generate ideas to make every TMS student and staff member feel a part of a welcoming and loving community.
We meet on Tuesdays from 8:15a-8:40a in D 124.

Baylor Pipeline Club meets Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 in room G201 starting in October.
The Baylor Pipeline Club is organized by Baylor science students designed to offer tutoring, mentoring, and hands-on science experiences.

The Trojan Tutors are former TMS/CCMS students who currently attend University High School. Their tutoring program was created to help TMS students with their homework and classwork. Trojan Tutors provide free tutoring in all subjects on Thursdays from 4:30-5:30p in the Library.

The Anime Club offers students who are interested in Anime and Manga an opportunity to come together to share a common interest and learn how to create their own Anime and Manga.
We meet on Mondays in E 106 from 8:15-8:40a.

In Props Club, you will get to have first-hand experience in making props and set pieces that will be featured in plays! Come get hands-on in this art & theatre collab! Join us on Mondays after school from 4:30-5:30p in B 106.

The Table Top Gaming Club meets in Mr. Lohr's room (B 106), Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30p. Learn and play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons!
Join us! It will be lots of fun!

The Library hosts the STEM-Makers Club every Thursday from 4:30-5:30p. We will be learning how to use and program micro:bits, code with Tynker, CAD with TinkerCAD, 3-D print, explore cardboard engineering, Make Buttons and Bracelets, and so much more! Join us it will be fun!

The TMS Speech and Debate Club will meet on Mondays from 4:30-5:30p in room G 211.

Do you like to make cool things out of yarn? Do you want to learn to crochet? Join us Mondays during A lunch in E 122, B lunch in G 220 and C lunch in F 206. Go to bit.ly/TMSyarn for more info!

Texans Caring for Texas Recycling Club is a club for students who want to make a positive impact on our environment.
In addition to our recycling efforts, we will be working with Child Nutrition Services on a composting project to start raising funds for student field trips.
We meet on Tuesdays from 8:15a-8:40a in D 124.

Are you interested in learning how to fly drones safely? Do you want to learn how race drones and repair them? Then this is the club for you! Join us on Tuesdays after school from 4:30-5:30p in D 105L--the CTE Workshop.

The TMS Chapter of the NJHS will begin meeting in October. Meetings will be announced. They will meet in the from 4:30-5:30 in the cafeteria or in Mrs. Gomez' room (G201). Membership is based on Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. Our chapter is very involved in community service.

Peace Be Still Bible Study meets on Wednesday mornings from 8:15am-8:40 in E 117 . Join us!

The Science Quizbowl Team will start meeting in October. If there is enough student interest, we will meet from 4:30-5:30 in the Library on Tuesdays. We compete in the US Department of Energy Science Quiz Bowl. All are welcome. For more information speak with Mrs. Prather and Ms. Muller.

Shhhh...The Super Secret Card Club meets in the Library during all of the lunches on Tuesdays of Non-Check Out Weeks. We play Uno, Chess, Checkers, Go Fish, Jenga and many other games. If you want to join in the fun, stop by the Library to pick up a pass.

TMS Chess Club offers a great opportunity for students at all levels of chess to develop their skills with the help of mentors. Whether someone is a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player aiming to sharpen their strategies, having personalized guidance can make a big difference.
We meet Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 in F 214.

The Clash Royale Club is an after-school student organization where members engage in strategy, communication, and friendly competition centered around the mobile game Clash Royale. The club provides a supportive and social environment for players of all skill levels to connect, improve their gameplay, and participate in tournaments. Join us on Mondays after school from 4:30-5:30p in F 218.
